Friday May 31.
Only 241 days before Christmas
Just what you wanted to hear, isn't it?
This really has been a busy week with so many things going on.
As if we old duffers need time to go faster. funny!
I'm still working on the quilt I vowed to finish today! It won't
happen, as I'm still doing a lot of frogging, and restitching. I can't
stand doing less than my best on any quilt.
With the restitching it looks much better than it did before so I am
glad that I'm doing it over..
Before the 8th of May, I have to finish a NCState quilt for our
Grandsonwho is a big fan and has already been accepted there.
Something involving math will be his major. He thinks he
knows what field, but hasn't committed to anything just yet.
I have the fabric, just not decided on a pattern, yet, so it's not
cut out, nor sewing started. Nothing slow about me. With
Himself's help It will get done.
Grandson graduates on June 6th and his party is on the 8th.
Meanwhile he is enjoying cross country track, frizbie with friends
once a week, and his girlfriend of course! He also works part time
at Lowe's Grocery and really enjoys it, so neat to see a worker
really working with a smile on his face for every customer he meets
At the register or in an aisle, taking a customer to a certain area, he
chats with him. He always looks nice, not grumpy not having a
grimace or unhappy face.. Just a neat kid I'm so proud of.
He is my Buddy, and comes over to clean the roof, gutters and
down spouts.. or to help with something that is a heavy job, like
moving a plate steel wood burning stove outside, etc. He's always
cheerful, smiles a lot, and out in public he comes right up to us and
gives us each a big hug. Doesn't care who sees it. He is special.
Well, quilting, deciding on a pattern, and cutting out to start sewing
is waiting, also have to turn in our hours for community service to
the NC ECA, to count for the total hours in the ECA and that
generates a bit more money from the State. Glad it is so.
have a great day everyone.
