June 20

Today is a pretty day.  Yesterday was also, the humidity about 73, temps just in the 80's.

A very nice cool over night.. feels so good for sleeping.

Tomato plants have been set out.  Have had them over 10 days..

Potato's continue to grow, he harvested the Kale.. all of the one plant.

The ferrel cat keeps trying to get my squirrels and birds.. the wild ones I mean.
I don't know where but I'm going to find a small animal trap and take her to the ASPCA for spaying, and I hope adoption with no problems.  She has kittens I think 2 times a year  She has them in our shed or yard every time.  This last time she had 3, two gray and one tan and white in patches.

The two gray dissappearted after about 8 weeks.  The tan and white was here another 3 weeks, I think.  Now it is gone.  Either the hawk, fox or dog got her.  More Likely the Hawk.

Quilting and working on a top is my goal today.  Still need to make new leaders and have them ready to go when I finish the quilt I have on now.

Must think about supper.  Our Sandhills Farm to Table box of fresh fruits and vegies got here yesterday and supper menu needs to be thought about.  With lovely flavored fruits we had peaches and blueberries in our box.  Also a type of Kale,  tomato's, fresh dried Onions, ear corn, and scallion.

Someone else can have the Kale, though it somehow ended up in our fridge.

Sometimes a quilter comes up with a project they really don't like, be it theirs or someone elses project.  Instead of stepping up and getting it finished, we drag our feet, and drag it out so it becomes a torture.  LOL, self imposted torture.

Quilting has taken a back seat to a lot of my projects.  Seems there are more that just have to be finished with a binding, or a label, than there are others to finish or piece.  There isn't much to do, still it takes time to set up the dsm and than it does to sew them with finding the right color thread, fill the bobbin, thread the machine, put the right foot or attachment, make sure I have the right scissors, marking pen, very small box for thread nips and so it goes.

I've also been working on the potato beads, painting them and preparing them for use in jewelry earrings or necklaces.  I don't make bracelets.  Too many sizes in them.  I've heard of a new product per se for jewelry and that is Okra.  We will  check them out.

So I'm eager to get to quilting.  It is calling loudly.

"till then
