Overcast, slight breeze, not nearly as hot as it has been for several days past and possible thunder storms tonight and showers during the day. Another run of the same is forecast. We also have a steady breeze today, which we normally don't.
I was working on getting the new leaders put on the quilt machine frame, and had a backing sewn to
the leader with zipper on it, and did a great job. zipped it on, and saw it was up-side-down.
Now The frogging is waiting to be done. We already have the top picked out and batting to be used.
I'm thinking of a taco salad bowl for dinner today. We love them and it's been a while since we've had a good one. The ones we've had around here don't have the re fried beans and ground beef in the bottom, which to us is half of the taco salad.
Quilting is on the agenda for this afternoon. I've been running various designs through my minds eye, to call up on the computer, and stitch it out.
I love to dream of things like this, rather than stress myself out with indecision. I have several in mind that may work, and I'll simply choose one of them.
Tomato's were late getting into the ground, so just starting to show a couple wee tiny pods for tomato's.
The potato plants were doing great until the heavy rains came. the plants are still alive, though laying on the ground. We may get a batch or two of small new potato's or leave them grow until the plants mature.
The white petunias we put out front are thriving and beginning to spread out a bit. With so much morning and evening shade it was hard to figure out what to plant. We finally began looking at flowering plants in peoples yards, and which were in partial shade. That helped a lot. I really want a large planting of Pansy's and petunias out front next year. I am going to try to start seeds and see what happens. I seem to remember them as being easy to start and then plant.
With all these trees around us, I would love to take a pict showing as many of the various shades, hues, values as I can and be able to have it analyzed for how many greens there are. Thousands or close to it.
On to frogging, resewing and finally loading the backing, batting and the top to quilt.. Can hardly wait to be working on the quilter again.
Enjoy a wonderful day.. if not wonderful, make it so.
