Today is to be beautiful.. as though they all haven't been.
Cooler temperatures, no wind, no rain, no storms.. just pretty.

The rest of Sept. and thru mid Oct., will be very busy for us.  We have the Sandhills Farm to Table (ECA and CO-OP) food boxes to hand out each week, using most of Thurs. afternoons.

We are also having an event called Lee Regional Fair.  Sort of like a very small county fair, just 4 buildings, one being the Lions Food consession, one commercial, one regular from 4-H youthand on up thru adults and org. booths.  The other being the Barn for all animals and fowl, showing the 4-h animal competition, etc..

The guild has featured a booth for Hearts and Hands ECA Quilters Guild, with a quilt trail on the fairground, consisting of several 4' by 4' blocks of plywood with a different quilt block  painted  on each.  They are to all, one day, lead folks to the Quilt Show.

After the fair the painted blocks will be placed at various places around town, advertising our Quilt Show, on October 18-19.

I currently have one quilt to finish which will go to Quilts of Valor, one a wall hanging entry, and the other a full/queen bed quilt, part appliqued, part pieced, seminole quilting, and machine quilted and bound.

I'm hodling my breath while working on all of them.   I really/really want them done.

Meanwhile, looking at the rest of the year, I need to finish a few small ufo projects and get that list pared down as far as I can before the end of the year.   I think I will be donating about 30 quilts this
year.  Wish it could be so many more.

We've eaten so badly the last few days, I can't stand it any more.   Getting those salty, sweet, spicy, fatty yearnings put out of the way.  We just picked up our food box yesterday, so have a nice variety of farm fresh vegies and fruits on hand.  Even have beautiful, tasty, fresh peaches.  The Kale, well, I pressure cook it for 6-7 min. with a bit of onion and celery chopped up and sometimes a bit of ham or bacon, add a few drops of balsalmic or malt vinegar.  It is really yummy.   I can't stand it fixed any other way.

Thoughts of supper were just put on the back burner.  Going to the fair will eliminate the need for us cooking.  If it gets too warm/hot today, well, we'll cook and go to the fair over the next 2 days.

Time is wasting.  On into today.. May I do my best with ease and fun.

May your day be even better.
