Friday
This is proving to be quite a busy day. Quilting is going good, sewing is going good, appetite is going good, and ground turkey spaghetti will be cooking and going good, before long.
We love spaghetti that has mellowed and melded overnight, so a big baked potato with toppings and raw veggies and fruits will be on our supper plates tonight.
The crosshatching on the little quilt is finished and I only have to hide a couple spots of white thread.. Gotta love pigma pens.
The SS is set up to sew the sashing design. Wish I had a narrow holly leaf, just no time to search one out. That would go well with the holly print border.
I am surprised that I can use Penny without making a lot of errors. The days of only mistakes per row, line, spot.. are past now, if I'm not wrong. l o l
Weather is quite chilly.. up to 64, with a breeze just strong enough to make it feel a lot colder.
It was below 20F this morning about 6:30.
One last package to mail out.. then the late holiday letters..We are going to get that done today. I'm remembering things to include as I quilt, and as the SS and Lenni quilt. I have a binding to put on today, and found the two tools I need to get it sewn on, on both sides. That one and a few others should go on quite easily now.
We need the space and just want a lot of these UFO's I listed last Jan., as well as more I found in straightening shelves of fabric, notions, finished and gone.. I have two more to deliver to the Habitat 4 Humanity family and that will be done for this year. Will need some for the next family, probably about April/May.
I am not happy with where the quilts will be donated, and am going to personally make sure mine get where they are going to suit me. The guild wants to let me count them, fine, if not well that's fine as I'll not let them control my donations when they aren't going to places agreed on last spring.
Sun is shinning and the sky is blue, so energy is here and needs to be gone down the hall to the quilting room, and put to good use.
