Tuesday  February 18, 2014

Yesterday was so much fun.. Started like today, sort of hazy then turning to bright sunshine, nice and warm in the 50's, chilly last night down in the 30's.  To be another beautiful day.

We met with the couple who made the Quilt of Valor that I just finished.. they are so nice, and seem to like the job I did of getting feathered circles into large empty spaces and glittery stars into the 8 points of the Hunters Star.  I must say it was beautiful, and took a lot of my time, and was well worth it.

We had lunch with the piecer and hubby, and chatted with them for over 2 hours.  Hope we can get up in their neck of the woods before too long.

yesterday was a day for eating out..  lunch with Eileen and Jack, then the ECA Volunteer Awards dinner last night.

Last night I delivered another quilt I finished yesterday morning.  It was a simple quilt made for a friend in the guild who will be moving away.  It was so much fun to see those tulip beds growing across the quilt.

I think the next one I do will be fairly similar.  Maybe use animals and such, but still an edge to edge, simple and yet so pretty.

We brought home another quilt to be done.. and still have one of my own yet to be quilted.  I don't want to hurry any of them.

We are going to be cutting the fabric I dyed into strips and 6.5" and 7.5" squares.. That will pretty well cover the block designs I am interested in, right now.

I wish I could dye more, but right now my brain keeps saying "piece, piece, piece I tell you!"

So, on to a bit of house work and then, piece, piece, piece..

May your day be one of beauty and peace!
