This has been one of those weeks.. not much seems to go the right way.
Weather has been beautiful with some warm days, some cool. sunny most days lately.
We have such a beautiful showing of light blue iris out front.. Have put some new ones in the patch,
beautiful colors, I think my fav is the blue with white inside the petal. Of course all the colors are my favorites. We just received these recently planted bulbs from Pat, a friend in Texas, so they won't bloom until next spring.
Quilting is moving along more like I want. I'll be using the new computer aided programs for most of the quilts from now on.
The designs are so pretty and can be used in so many ways. It is fun to play with and get such pretty results.
The crafting will have to be held back for a while yet. These all need to be started and finished.
I use retail beads, as well as dried sweet and white potato beads and cotton pods for lapel pins.
These are quilts are that were in progress long before I took these picts. The two different Tweety quilts. The first just needs the binding finished and a label applied.
This is the second one, showing the back of the Tweety Quilt. I think it s so cute and some child will love it. It needs the binding put on and label on the back.
UFO =Un-Finished Object.
I think all my quilts are cute, pretty, wonderful etc.
This one is pink on the back, it has the plaid sashings, Then dark pink border, floral in the next and then an even darker boarder. I need to finish quilting it and then bind, and label.
These two are other UFO, I've been working on, In fact I've finished both to where it needs to finish the binding and label. I think I have maybe two more, and they are getting boring to work on.
This is a UFO, also ready for the binding to be put on, and a label added. This will be for a friend who just had a baby. Backing does not go well with the barn. Don't know why I selected that one. It only needs binding and quilt label.
This is one had a bad border, and it had to be frogged. That was the design in the tan border.
(frog= what does a frog say, rippit rippet.. meaning stitches are removed, taken out, reverse sewing, backward sewing, which makes it look better when resewn. In this case it really looks better with the new design. There is no picture of the new pattern yet.
I worked long and hard on this double fleece quilt.
There are 3 double fleece quilts.. Not sure if I used a trace plate on all 3.
This one needs the edges finished.
This is a pict of Himself and I. It was taken several years ago, and everything since fell down, hair turned gray-white, and a gazillion wrinkles on my face, from smoking too much and far too long.
Himself takes after his maternal Grandpa, didn't get bald very early, it's just receeding now. Still very little gray hair at 77. ROFL, disgusting that he has very few wrinkles.
This quilt is the Carpenter's Star. It is pieced and sewn into a top and I have it on my long arm quilting machine, quilting it right now. It will still need the borders finished and sewn down.
The second fleece throw.
I am still working on this one, as it still needs the edges finished.
The fleece quilts were donated to the family receiving the last Habitat for Humanity House, that our local guys made. They build about one house a year, with all donated supplies and the men work mostly on weekends, now and then one of the guys work a few hours per day.
I have to find these picts on the computer. Between Windows photo gallery, Paint and the Olympus program from my camera, it's not easy.
So shall post them another day.
