The Kale Chard debate, I think, has finally been settled.

It is Tuscany Kale.. I still don't like the taste nor the texture.

Today as yesterday, is starting out gloomy.  We did get a few
flashes of sun yesterday, but not enough to really say the sun
was out.   A few mists during the day was all in the line towards
rainfall.  Not enough to come close to measuring.

We stayed busy all day, so managed to not notice nor think of
the lack of sun.  We did have the bright candelier on, that hangs
over the dining room table.  That helped.

We are making new leaders for the quilting frame,, so temporarily
it is out of use.  Need it back up in a hurry.

The tomato and cotton seed have been planted,Kale was harvested
and the potato's continue to thrive.

The 3 year old avacado plant we put out this year, was doing so
well, is now dieing. I think it just got drown. It really bothers me when
it was really thriving.

Yesterday the squirrels were playing leap frog, and today it seems
to be the cardinal days.  Two male are hopping it out.. don't know
which one won.

I have to get busy and embroider our Gndsons initials on his towel
set, before he heads to NC State.    He leaves in Aug.

The quilt I began several years ago, and don't have finished, is also
getting badly needed work, so it can be entered in the Guild's Quilt Show
this Oct. Oct. 18-19, In Sanford NC.  I'm so anxious to get it finished
and look at it, see how pretty it is.   I'd love to enter it in the show,
and get the judges comments.

I won't post picts of it, until after the show.. would love to, though.

Labels, I have more to get finished, and sewn on.  A job that is not
liked around here.  I let others enjoy that job.

This is the Carpenter's Star quilt variation that I am working on.

I've only a bit of quilting to do, and the binding after the new leaders are
on, and I have the grandsons quilt finished.  I will have several sets
of leaders with zippers to make loading much easier and quicker and
easier to remove one quilt on the frame to quickly finish another with
a deadline.  Easy to just zip one off and the other on.

Carpenter's Star variation.   

The colors are quite close to what I'm using.

The center is two shades of purple, the outer ring is peach and rust.  I know
it is odd colors.  I just like to play with color combinations.
