Wed.  26th

A lot more rain last night,   and more to come for about the next week.  Humidity is awful..

There should be plenty of sun today, until about 3 this afternoon, when the rains are to hit again probably with Thunder and lightening.

Some leader sewing took place, too many things going on to make the progress I wanted to.

I did a bit of mending and   Am trying to shorten some slacks.. I forgot I had them, bought them last year when I had surgerys  close together, and was pitifully sick and in the hospital.  Meds do a nasty work of art on the memory, especially if they are steroids, which were prescribed.

In addition to 2 appts yesterday we couldn't do much while waiting for the tech to come out and
do the annual check on my oxygen concentrater and portable oxygen tanks.  We made preps for supper, Organized a few things, put some quiting items away, planned out what to do next in the quilting room, other than the leaders and zippers..  By the time he was gone it was supper time and we fixed and we were able to prepare and enjoy.  After supper and cleaning up, we were out of time and energy to get much done.  Just a short lazy evening, ending with a bowl of home made peach icecream.

I have finally found a way to legally get the picture of our advertising for the Quilt Show this Oct.

Here is the first photo.

This is the view of the top.  Obviously the photo was taken from above somewhere.  Maybe at the  PNC Convention center in or near Raleigh.  The windshield is the larger black area to the right.

The next photo shows the car from the front.  Note all the cut outs for radiator, lights, etc.

The last photo shows the side of the car.  Note, the quilt can be attached in such a way as to permit traveling about idle speed.. I'm sure it would travel faster, don't know how wind proof the quilt is.

The sign on the car door, says
 "Dennis Wicker Civic Center"

Quilt Show
Oct. 18-19

This should draw some attention.  Apparently there are several places the car will be parked for a day or two..    the Quilted Car Committee worked long and hard on this.    The blocks were donated by the guild, and a few special made..   Trying to find a block I made was impossible.  Couldn't recognize it on a 3-D item.  So very different that a 1 dimensional.. Still very Pretty.

Maybe today will be more productive in the sewing line.  Stressing about it just won't help anything.

There are more photo's to be downloaded and posted.

Stay well and safe,Have a Blessed day!

                           Continued:

In looking back at my old photo albums on my quilt site, I don't remember so very many of the quilts I made or finished for QoV and quilts made by others.

This first quilt is one I quilted for a lady who pieced the top, then it was sent to me to be quilted,
then it went back to her for the label and binding.
She did a terrific job of piecing and seams lay so flat there wasn't any little spots of help.
Wonderful !!

I so wish you could see it up close.. she did great on the points..

The next one is one of the fleece quilts I gave to the Habitat for Humanity recepients' sons.

Goly, this looks as though I'd not stitched the edges yet, as I thought.

They always feel so soft when made of fleece, and can stand quite a bit of use.

Next is the quilt I gave the older boy in the Habitat for Humanity family.  This is before it was trimmed and the edges finished.  One side was totally the animal print and the other was the tan.

This shows how 2 pieces of fleece show after they are quilted.  No batting is needed.

Next is one of my fav quilts,  newborn size.  This one needed the binding finished.

This is the back and explains why I love it so.  Just too cute.

exit being made for today
