Monday  August 26, '13

I just relearned a lesson I've learned and relearned many times.  Don't shut off the internet until we are sure it was saved.

The day was just starting to happen when I posted before.  We've had beautiful weather, down into the 70's and low 80's, now it is creeping back up into the 90's with daily showers.  Partly sunny.

There is a cat no one seems to claim, that seems to have kittens at least twice a year.  I've not seen her lately.  Maybe someone has taken her to be spayed and keeping her in for a few days.  There is always the chance that a hawk or coyote got her.  We have red fox around here also,  though I don't know if they consider cats as food.  Comparing size, the fox is only 3-4 times the size of a cat.  We have the little brown fox around here.

I only have a little to talk about today.

I still have fabric from June 2012 that I've not put away because I don't have the sewing room straightened up enough.  It's still in my red suitcase.  One day.

The lady that use to live next door, and her new hubby have invited us to visit with them at their beach house, in late Sept. to early Oct.  I'm so ready to go.  She use to be pale because she ran a day care, and was in all day, but without having to work, she is a tanned blond, and pretty as always.
Danny is so good to her, and she is to him.

Flowers are blooming out front, and the deer are eating them as fast as they bloom.  I have resorted to putting out artificial flowers.  I just can't stand the front yard being so bland with the shutters all sun faded.  They were last painted 7-8 years ago, so I guess they are entitled to fade.

So much needs to be fixed.  It can get depressing to think of it all and it's all little things except the roof, carpet and putting in windows.

Our first two priorities are more windows, and carpet in two rooms.  I'm wondering how the deal of buy one room of carpet get another free compares to other carpet stores, after a good matting is put down.  I think that is probably where the first offer comes in high.  We shall see, as we won't order until we make comparisons.  I think the buy one get one free deal also adds mileage.. can't handle that, either.

Life is a dilemma.

It's time I get busy and do some serious quilting and label making today.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!
