October 20, 2013          Sunday.

We awoke to a very dark morning..   Our temps have been below average lately and I love it.    It's only been cool a bit over one week, and people are already grumbling about the cool weather..  until then they were begging for relief from the heat..  guess nothing helps them.  lol

We've been busy the last few days with helping set up the quilt show, and selling raffle tickets for the two major door prizes..  It was fun and I got to chat a bit with folks I've not seen in a long time.  Was fun just to try to pick out the Viewers Choice I wanted to vote on.  Most of my choices didn't even win a ribbon. 

I did find though that one thing I didn't think I couldn't do, I actually can do and that was search the quilts for the reason they didn't get ribbons.  I probably missed a lot of things, but I could pick out a lot of things, like a crooked seam, a point cut off, binding not full to the edge, a circle that wasn't round, etc.  It was fun to see what all I could find. 

There were some amazing quilts, and some that were just not.. and many that were so pretty.

Today we have to finish touching up the house and setting up for the party we are having. 

It is a surprise 25th wedding anniversary for our youngest daughter and her hubby.  Then this evening we can collapse.. Himself and I have both been doing too much.  It will be nice to have a clean uncluttered house, and it probably won't take too long to get it out of shape again.

With 60 feet plus to walk from one end of the houset o the other, it makes it hard to get some things put back where they belong at times.  We both get tired.

I can't believe I am doing house work and it's not even daylight out.  So far from former habits..
