November 10, 2013 Sunday
Today is such a pretty day. Just right for fishing, a hike, a lakeside picnic. Mid 60's F., a gentle breeze, clear skies.
Instead we get to wait and see if the repair tech has a part that we need in our heatless heat pump. AC works fine, just no heat at this point.
Quilting is going on in leaps and bounds. Really feel as though I've made friends with the Side Saddle computer system that now runs Penny, my APQS Lenni.
I've finished 3 quilts this past week, and have been finishing things on the domestic sewing machine, as the SS quilts along. Nice to just have to check that the thread is still stitching, and no problems have poked their heads up, in a glance.
The label issues need to be addressed. I can make, print, copy and then still have the hand writing to put on it, after it's sewn onto the back of the quilt, before quilting.
Finishing up odds and ends which are too good to throw out, and take up way too much room to keep, unfinished or finished, makes me feel better and they take up less space.
Potato bags.. for baking a potato in, in the microwave. Just a good size for one med. to small/large
potato, sweet or white.. or very small squash like acorn, butternut, monks hood, etc. or a short or boken in half ear of corn.
For Sale: $4.00 each plus postage, pay pal only. roughly 6-8" wide, with the flap folded over the opening, about 6-7" high. size differences are from how far you fold the flap over, and increased sizes when I was making so many of these. Comes with instructions.
There a small quilt to finish marking for crosshatching, then the sewing on Penny. So many ufo's.
Off to work, may it be blessed for all of us.
I just realized I didn't post a pict of the Quilt of Valor I made and the guild members hung in the Boutique Booth.
Its not my usual style though I think the blocks border on traditional.
Off to work, may it be blessed for all of us.
