Novermber 13, 2013          Wednesday

Sun is out, shinning quite proud of itself for chasing off the chilled, no, not chilled, downright cold winds and heavy clouds of yesterday.

It was so nice until roughly  2:30 in the afternoon.  It went from 63 to 31 in 2 hours.. some flakes if we looked hard for snow.. but that blustery wind was bone chilling.

So much for easing into winter from fall.   lol

About 7 this morning it was all of 21F out, is now up to a whopping 48F.  Feels good to stay indoors.
Chuck made it over about 6:30 to put the needed switch in our heat pump.  They cleaned it out, so we don't even hear it running any more, when before it sounded like a convoy going by.   The one source of irritating noise is gone and it sounds wodnerful.

Trees are nearly bare after the winds, so really need to get our Grandson down here from NCState to clean the roof and gutters for us.

Sorting, organizing and finding places to put the sorted and organized is starting to slow down, now that space available is dwindling.  Hard to deal with for now.  More brain-work is needed.

Will be working on the Side Saddle Tutorial today, once I get the banana bread ingredients ready to go together, and the bread ready to go in the oven.  The bread machine takes all the hard work out of the hand kneeding.. but tastes just as good as hand made.  I only kneed lightly one time, in shaping the loaf, then we bake it in a conventional oven.

I think we will have cream of broccoli/cheese soup for supper.  French onion soup sounds terrific too.

Daughter was over to clean for us today.  It always feels so good and looks so good when she is done, that we wish we could hire her 5 days a week.

In the daytime end of the house, I am sorting stacks of magazines into names and dates.. I have some from 1984.  Time to sell off and weed out.

Thats going on in the den and so far, kept under control and not cluttered.
In the living room, after supper, I resize 2 1/2" hst blocks, sort out those that are too small,  will probably use them in another project.   I can do about 30 in half an hour, so maybe 5-6 more days work will have all that taken care of, at the most.

Once sized properly, I intend to sew them into one long string to use as a border in a quilt.  I love the scrappy hst's as a border.  ( hat=  Half squre triangle, usually of 2 fabrics.).

It looks as though I'll be able to get back to finishing bindings and borders, and other projects that need to be finished.

The two fleece quilts for the latest Habitat for Humanities family are finally finished and ready to deliver.  The Mom got hers on dedication day.. the kids quilts had to wait for a while.

Off to sort, list, organize and enjoy the fruits of the labor.

Dickering for some fresh fish from a friend who has an abundance, is hard.. lol.. he has 9 ponds in his back yard.. We wish for just one with fish in it.

Rest easy for the rest of the day, and do what you must... whatever that may be........
