December 16, 2013

Monday

Today is pretty!  chilly, but clear and sunny.   It was 28 at 6:30 a.m., and now at 9:35a.m., it is up to 42.

It is going to be a very good day.  Quilting of course, and binding quilts.. and labeling quilts and seeing how many I have to go to be done with the quilts ready for the finish of binding, labels and washing.

Yesterday went great.. got a lunch out, and grocery shopping, got a small turkey for us to cook up Christmas Eve.. going to taste SOOO good.   I could cook and eat it today with no problems.

Today will also include some cookie baking.. and I still want to try out that recipe with cream cheese in the dough.   Sounds so good, and I'll bet it is.  Roll preserves in and bake.. wondering how something like shredded beef or pork, precooked would taste and work in it.. Maybe the ends that are uncovered would get dry.  Doesn't sound so good, so may a dab of cream cheese over the ends would keep them moist.  Will have to play with the recipe.

We will have pork loin medallion's for supper.. haven't decided on foods to go with it, and we of course will have the fresh, raw veggies and fruits to go with it.

Back to the computer quilting.  This little quilt will be fully finished on the long arm today.  Was a bit slow with it yesterday.

I do feel so good about being able to, mentally and physically get projects finished.. now if we could just find the camera.    We've been looking for it for two weeks now, and it is buried deep wherever it is.

Nope!! I just looked over towards the Love Seat and there the camera was.. right in plain sight and I know we had to move that little box it was setting on.

I've already been to the quilting room, and need to go back and take care of the things in my life for today.

The contractors were here to check out what we want and be able to get a estimate set up for us.   By choosing to Not have brick between the windows it cut the price and time to construct by quite a bit.

I like the guys.. they are all friendly, very helpful in answers, and if not positive, they ask the big boss.

I hate to think we have to wait another 2 months, but that's the way the construction is going around here, now.

Have a most blessed, happy, bright and fun day.
