December  8.  2013                           Sunday

Today is still.  Still not bright, still grayed, making it feel absolutely silent and just a painting.
No birds, no squirrels, and colder now than it was a 6 this morning.  It is setting at 37F.

Not so sure what will be planned today, church, the letters,  a good meal.  After a couple in restaurants and parties, the palatte is longing for good, home-cooked, nourishing, and tasty.. not overly salted, nor a lot of sweets.  I forget what we suggested for today.. pork or chicken.

Yesterday's Guild Christmas Party was wonderful.  Everything went as planned and that was planned in a very sensible manner.   Last years hst exchange was so confusing and some didn't get all the blocks they should have.. some were lost, spilled, others got too many, some were so badly sewn there wasn't any seam allowance for one piece, others cut way too small, and still more too big.  I threw quite a few out.. just wasn't worth the time to correct, if it was possible.   This year they had it set up to work just right.  And it did!  Best of all, all the hst I saw were sewn and cut just great.

The FQ game was a lot of fun.  We had 9 people per table and each person brought 3 FQ to start.
The one at the table who had the last FQ (or more) won all the blocks on that table.  We used a special set of dye to play the game.. I'd not seen them before.  They are L,R,C and dots..   We only rolled the number of die to go with the number of FQ we still had.  Last year, everyone rolled 3 at all times, I think.

Food was good, could to me have been a bit more holidayish.. sandwiches,  sandwich stuffing in a raw tortilla shell, and two salads,  broccoli and jello.  Catered..  I'm not a big fan, though it was healthy and filing.  I really don't know what I'd call a holiday luncheon.  ;o\    One sandwich I just love is either chicken or turkey with cream cheese and a slice of cranberry jelly or sauce.   It is soooo good, I think I'm hungry for some now.

Breathing is not going well without the albutrol sulfate breathing treatments.  I have real good oxygen levels, just so short of breath at times, that I have to sit down.  Not good when trying to stand in line to get the meal.

The Holiday letter is a goal for today.. Type up, print off and begin addressing envelopes.. Himself will help me with this.  LOL,  just ask me.

The day is calling, still Very Still outdoors,  and Looks to be still!

Hope your day is as un-still as you need it to be.
