Monday
Another dreary day, no sun, hazy light.
Today the animals are out being greedy to one another. One gets a kernel of corn, and the other just has to try and chase it down, and roll him for the corn.
The birds are out today, also, but not as greedy, not quite as greedy I mean, to one another. With two feeders and the Seed block, one bird can't control it all.
The red headed woodpecker doesn't mind at all if other birds are at the seed block when he is. He seems to go in 3 day cycles. Here two or three days, then gone three days, here again and gone 3 days.
We made good progress on quilting yesterday. Finished the binding on a couple of quilts, sewed most of the microwave bowl holders, (I call them pot holders, but these also have the hot pad built into one piece with the holders). They are ready for the pleats then sew them into one piece and turn, close opening and stitch rows or designs around them a few times for stability. Easier to work with when not totally limp.
Himself seems to like his new Toy, the Burnette Seville 7, sewing machine I got him for Christmas, and hasn't had the time or opportunity to try out the box of attachments I got him for his birthday. He moves at his own speed, between ball games and computer games. Now and then, lololol he does get something done. He is doing quite well at continuing work on projects.
Himself is at a Dr. appt. this morning, just his annual physical.. I opted to stay home and see what all I can get done, not just in quilting, either. There are always odd jobs to be taken care of and we try to do them as we find them and have time to finish them.
Today I want to get the fringe cut on the last little Habitat 4 Humanity kids.. we need to get them delivered today! Time is wasting, and it's too long from now to hold onto them to show and get credit for community service donations within the guild. I guess they don't want to give credit unless it goes through their chairman, which totally makes NO sense to me, as they hold the quilts all year, and I opt to donate as I finish them, as the need IS there, all year. Wait until Jan. meeting.. I'll have a load of quilts finished, and be able to show them.. and let them hand them out to someone for some thing.
Well, I am going to draw a big moose head, head, antlers, and neck. Then cut it out of foam board, paint it, seal it and find a way to fasten it to the tree without puncturing the bark with nails, brads, staples, etc. It seems either wire or twine of some kind is needed, and NO, the wire will not stay on beyond The New Year. Why damage a tree due to laziness.
The day is wasting and nothing is done yet..
Hope you make better progress through your day than I am mine.
