Today is in a hurry. Woke up to chilly overcast skies and then it turned to mostly clear.. not quite there yet.
there is another quilt job coming in. It is for one of our guild members who is moving away. Oh, how I hate to see her go.
Just about finished with the QoV on the frame.. so I will be ready but still not starting the grandsons quilt..
There are also 2 finished tops coming in for Community service.. I hope one will go to our Safe House, Haven House.
It is so much fun to be so busy. Love that. So glad to help where/how I can.
Yesterday an order for more Procion MX dyes arrived, so I'm anxious to test them and see their real colors.. I hope I can get that going today, so excitement abounds..
It is so much fun to see what comes out of the dye bath.. never know until the fabric is opened. I am going to try spatter dyeing some with a toothbrush both before and after the dye bath...
hoping for more of a batik, or what use to be called a batik and they now call either blenders, or marbles, which are an entirely different things. Oh well, I know what I want to call them.. lol, that's all that matters!
Right in the midst of our temps down in the low teens and some below that, we have four bulbs coming up in the one tulip bed. It looks like there are 3 kinds coming up, probably hyacinth, and daffy's, or Narcissus I so wish some had been lanted out front. Maybe this fall we can transfer some.
Also the fishing bug has hit again, it's not supposed to be warm enough today.. a sissy doesn't go out before the temp hits in the high 60's area. It's not there, at 38F.
Quilting and pick up a quilt, and go out for supper are all calling.. so, we best get on the way.
The refrigerator is going out again... had it repaird not very long ago.
Have a wonderful, blessed day. How can it be anything but that, irregardless the troubles we face..
