Tuesday February 3, 2014

Seems I keep so busy or am so tired, more like exhausted, that I just don't make it in to be more regular.

The schedule needs to be fixed and get me back in line.  lol

The dyeing fabric had to slow down when I ran out of Retayne. It fixes fabrics that bleed or run, and sets the colors.  A nifty product to have.

Meanwhile, I'm doing good on the Quilt of Valor Eileen sent to be quilted.  It's looking pretty, and then I found a small tear in the backing.  Can't figure out how that happened.  I nearly makes me sick and I'm so very sorry it happend while in my care!

We think it will be finished it today.  I so hope they will forgive me, and I'm very anxious for the chance to meet them in person.  I've been wanting to meet a piecer or piecers for as long as I've been in the Quilt of Valor Federation.  Now is the time.  I hope that got rid of all the "I"s.

The weater has had such a drastic turn around.  The temp yesterday at 6, was 57.  Today it is 43, and to drop during the day with rain later.a  Much better than the prior temps in the teens and down to near 0.

A great day for piddling around, quilting, fabric dyeing,, etc.  Himself is finishing some pre-pieced blocks trimming them up to the same size and will put them together.  With or without sashing, square or on point, is his choice.  I have a partly made quilt ( Yep, another one! ) to finish up and quilt for the guild, or for donation.

I'm using my long-arm quilting machine, an APQS Lenni, and the quilting computer that can run it and sew various dessigns that I pick from the library.  So fun to sit and watch it quilt, and even using invisible thread, I haven't had to deal with breaking etc.  I think giving it a wet dip in Mineral Oil helped that along.

Dr. calls to make, other calls to make, and time is wasting and I need to finish the quilt..

So on to doing the things of the daily grind, then quilting, my passion.

Have a beautiful day.. relaxed, healthy and safe..
