Today is going to be a short one, and at noon today we will be half way through the week.
Only 97 days before Christmas. Now is the time to get started on the intended hand made gifts.. waiting when making a quilt at the quilters busiest time of the year, Oct. thru to Dec. date the quilter
picks for the last work date is putting pressure on already scheduled jobs.. and no one should ask to be considered as special and get to cut in line. Not even family or Best Forever Friends...
Lovely outside, starting to smell like fall, leaves turning, chestnut tree is nearly bare.. flowers starting to fade into fall to rejuvinate in the winter, spring up in the spring. Lawn is getting browner in some areas.
I'm working as hard and fast on the Quilt of Valor as I can.. I have to have finished by bedtime, Friday. I'm still piecing and want it done and on the machine tonight. It is going to be fun.
Had to get a new BP machine, the old one died a slow death. We bought one that will keep records for 2 people. With Himself having had defibrilation, and strokes in the family, he needs to keep track of his, too. Now to get him to do it.
The little Burnette H70 sewing machine I have to take places where I'll be sewing, is perking right along. It's odd that Burnina has their name on it, but it is made for them by Janome. She is dependable and never fails unless the cord comes unplugged.
Red, white and blue will be in my mind forever... thats the colors this quilt is being made from, different shades of red and blue, not the same fabric through out. Glad I like the colors so when I dream about them, it's not in nightmares.
Once this quilt of Valor is finished, my quilt show entries are needing to be finished.. Not sure if I want to finish the quilt first, or the wall hanging, or work on both as I go, and the mood and ability that is needed, is available, or try to push on thru with one then the other.
Common sense just hit. One first then the other, so the bed quilt comes first.
Have a wonderful, very blessed day.
