Wednesday
Merry Christmas to all. God's blessings on you.
Today the birth of Jesus, our Lord and Savior is celebrated world wide. It is worth our love and prayers for the reason.
It seems to be the only thing the whole world can agree on.. and in our great USA some, and that is a minority of few, are trying to take CHRIST out of our country, and that minority includes the man who is supposed to be leading our country under the Declaration of Independence. God was the leader then, and though they may try to erase Him, He still lives and always will.
Is Is Time we majority stand up, speak up and put our (not just the presidents) country back on track with Jesus as our leader. God was and still is so good to us, and those who believe out-number the nay sayers by a large majority..
How can we raise up and declare our insistance that God be put back in our country as THE leader?
As for quilting I didn't do much yesterday and it doesn't look as though I will do any today.
I did bake cookies, and made yeast rolls for dinner with the kids.
The rolls came out wonderful even with me using the old fashioned way of kneeding by hand, etc.
The recipe is called Easy Yeast Rolls. It is in the Taste of Home, Holiday Recipes, Issue 2013
There are a lot more recipes in the issue that I am going to try, some breads, some desserts, and some appetizers.
These are the yeast rolls I made.
I baked some just to the starting to brown stage so we can use them for brown and serve rolls at a later time.
It was only 20F when I checked at 7:30, and it's only up to 30F now, at nearly 11:30 a.m.
I truely wish there were snow on the ground.. instead we have bright sunshine, clear skies, and brown laws and yards to see. Not Christmasy at all.
Have a most blessed day, fun with family and friends, good food with good company makes it more special.. and be healthy and stay safe.
Merry Christmas
Rita
