As the year makes itself known, I've found the *2014* to be very natural.. already.
I cut a hunk of me out of my first finger, right hand, so quilting is getting a very slow start.
It put a fast stop to handling fabric when I noticed I was bleeding out of the band aid. We put
a folded gause pad on it and Taped it on. It still bled enough to need to change the tgause before we had supper.
I have a beautiful QoV to do, but need to put on the *checking it out* quilt piece we have for checking the stitching, and probably have to call Amy at APQS for some of her excellent help.
The sun is shinning, but it's not doing much to raise the temps. it's still only 26F outdoors.
The Dr. appt is going to take some time. I have so many questions, and feel he would give the best info of the 2, he and a PA. She does super well, I just somehow feel I need to see him.
I spent yesterday cutting 2" wide strips into 8.5 ", and then cutting scraps into 2" strips and then reducing them to 8.5" pieces.
I'm just going to make them into a strip of blocks several of them, with sashing between them, for a
QoV that won't take a lot of time. Use up a lot of scraps, too.
I thought I had the 2.5" cutter, and when I measured the finished strips, they were 2".
I must have cut a lot of 2" when I was still under the one meds fog. Or, since, I've decided 2" and less are just too small to work with.
I think I've found a way to finish the applique quilt I have going, and started when I could still do some handwork. The 4 corner parts don't fit with the on-point center of the quilt now. I've added a seminole border of 6 strips. I will be glad when that thing is over and done with. I think I will send it to my "sis". I've not given her one.. She also needs one for little James..
